Orissa becomes 'Odisha' & Oriya is 'Odia'

The Lok Sabha made minor amendments to the Orissa Bill and the Constitution (113th) Amendment Bill, which have already been approved by the Rajya Sabha.

From today onwards in every place within odisha and everywhere, people will use Odisha instead of Orissa and Odiya  becomes Oriya.

Thanks to President of India Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Chief Minister of Odisha, Mr. Naveen Patnaik, that after a long 75 years of struggle Odisha now got its real identity.
